ACT Gradient Background ACT Food Service Industry Parts Washer Separation CASE STUDY #2104 FOOD SERVICE WASHER

FOOD SERVICE WASHER

The Problem

The customer cleaned food mixing and blending system components by hand for decades. These parts are larger than typical household mixing components therefore an engineered system sized to handle these large parts while minimizing any risk to the operators loading and unloading had to be found.

ACT Solution

ACT model SBW-48- The system is sized to accommodate several sets of mixing funnels and racks plus assorted small parts on 3-separate slide-out racks. The 200 GPM system delivers hot wash from rotating jets from above and below in a torrent via sanitary piping. Cycle selection includes recirculated wash, discharging hot rinse, sanitizer delivery, and purge operations to segregate potential allergens from non-allergenic food residues. To accommodate workers the load height was reduced to about 24” off the floor. PLC controlled.
